What does self-certify mean in DC?

Self-certification lets an applicant who is 21 or older complete ABCA's medical cannabis patient application by certifying eligibility themselves, in place of a healthcare practitioner's recommendation number. Applicants between 18 and 20 cannot self-certify and need a recommendation.

Can non-residents and visitors buy cannabis in DC?

Yes, if they are 21 or older and register with ABCA. Non-DC residents must use the non-resident registration, which requires online self-certification.
