What is the best way to store cannabis flower?

Keep it in an airtight, opaque or UV-resistant glass container, at a stable cool room temperature, away from light, at a relative humidity of roughly 55% to 62%. Keep it in or with its original labeled packaging so you can see the strain, batch and date, and store it securely out of reach of anyone under 21 and pets.

Does cannabis flower go bad?

Flower doesn't spoil like food, but it changes over time. Terpenes evaporate, the flower dries out, and THCA slowly converts to THC, which in turn breaks down into CBN when exposed to heat, light and oxygen. Flower stored too damp can grow mold, which is a reason to throw it out.

Should I keep cannabis in the fridge or freezer?

Generally no. Refrigerators cycle humidity and can cause condensation, and freezing makes trichomes brittle so they can snap off when the flower is handled. A cool, dark cabinet or drawer is usually a better choice.

What humidity should cannabis be stored at?

A relative humidity of about 55% to 62% is a common target. Much drier and flower turns brittle and loses aroma; much more humid, especially above roughly 65%, and the risk of mold rises. Two-way humidity packs and small hygrometers can help you keep a container in that range.

How should I store pre-rolls and vape cartridges?

Keep pre-rolls in their tubes or packaging, which limits air exposure and crushing. Keep vape cartridges upright, capped, and away from heat and direct sun. The same rules apply: cool, dark, sealed and secure.
